A day in the life - summer edition

6:00 AM
Coffee.  Always coffee.  ;)  I'm trying to use the first two hours of the morning, while the kids are still asleep, to work on homeschool planning for our co-op.

7:00 AM
Still planning - My goal is to get the first 6 weeks planned by the end of this week. {{fingers crossed}}

8:00 AM - wake up time!

Izzy loves to help me.

9:00 AM

It's free juice day at Jamba!  Henry chose orange/ginger/pineapple.

10:00 AM

To the pool!  We always try to go right when it opens - before it gets too hot.

11:00 AM
I'm almost done with Gone with the Wind.  What an interesting book!

12:00 PM

1:00 PM - Math time
We've been continuing math (on a relaxed schedule) throughout most of the summer.
2:00 PM

This is the time of day when the kids can play or read in their rooms, so I can exercise and have a half hour of quiet time as well.  Lately they've been taking turns reading aloud to each other - which I love.
3:00 PM
Off to World Market to hunt for some new lighting and Home Depot to look at paint colors.

4:00 PM
(Havah is trying to look nonchalant -ha ha! It's her crazy mother with her crazy camera again!)
Back home and having some play time with our sweet sweet neighbor friends.  I love these kids.
Yep!  Another pic.  I love her smile!

5:00 PM
Back in the house working on dinner prep.  BBQ chicken pizza.

6:00 PM
pie making
Buttermilk pie!  Although tasty, we decided it wasn't one of our favorites.
7:00 PM
Jon should be home any second. We are hungry and ready for him to walk in the door! In the meantime, how about some Rubik's multi solving to pass the time?
Our day didn't end here, but I forgot to take any more pics once Jon walked in!  It's fun to carry a camera around for a day and document what goes on.  These summer days are so special.  Mwahhhh, August!

I am impressed with your 6:00am wake up call!! I'm sure you look forward to that quiet time in the morning. I can never seem to drag myself out of bed - do tell your secrets for becoming a morning person!!

I LOVED shopping at World Market and getting smoothies from Jamba. We don't have either in MS so be sure to go there a bunch for me.

Your kids are darling reading to each other!! What a sweet bond they have. I've always wanted to watch/read Gone with the Wind - thanks for the reminder.

Your summer days sound like so much fun. Now if only we were neighbors and could do all of these fun things together :)

I love that in the middle of summer, August, the kids are wrapped in blankets while they read. Air conditioning?
