Havahisms

Last Sunday afternoon it was totally quiet in our neighborhood. Our neighbor friends were gone for the day.  The park and street was deserted, like everyone was gone for the weekend. We took a long bike ride and then outside to the neighborhood playground.  Havah and Henry must have played in the sand, and later a giant mud puddle, for at least a few hours.  It was one of the days where you want time to stand still, as evidenced by Havah's unsolicited sentiment:

"Today is the kind of day that makes me appreciate everything in life."

At the seashore / Havahisms

We've had such a gorgeous week at the beach. We've dug clams, found little eels, and even these shrimp type critters. (Someone needs to brush up on their sea creature vocabulary - get me a field guide quick!)

And cutest of all was what Havah told me as she walked in the surf yesterday: "Mommy, I feel most at home when I'm in the sea."
