Playtime

A few weeks ago we were getting ready for a visit from our littlest cousin, Mairen (and her parents too of course ;).  In anticipation I pulled out a bunch of toys that the kids haven't see in a few years - mainly all our vintage Fisher Price pieces.  H & H had a great time looking through everything and setting it all up.  It was so sweet and I was lucky to capture it with my camera.

Fisher Price was  HUGE part of both Jon and my childhoods, as well as Havah and Henry's toddler days.  As I was perusing Etsy the other day I came upon a seller (here) that paints these custom family portraits.  Aren't they the BEST??  On my wish list for sure.

I love the old FP. My grandparents had the school for my sister and I, seeing those pictures brings back such great memories!

So adorable! I wish I had kept mine from childhood.

Fisher price toys - little people, food, houses - were a staple in our toy room when I was growing up. I love that your kids enjoy them. I was also admiring the cool kitchen and doll house in the background. I feel like vintage toys were better made than things today. I'd love to pick up some classic things for Olive to play with. Oh and those family portraits are stunning. I hope Santa reads your blog :)
