sick days

Oh my goodness we were hit hard with the nasty stomach flu/cold that has been going around. The funny thing was, I had just been bragging to Jon about how we are generally a pretty healthy group, not too much sickness around here, blah, blah, blah. Then "BAM", 12 hours later it hits us. Sorry kids. Blame me.
This little one has had it so bad we finally took her in to Urgent Care. They reassured us that she is fine, and just needs lots of home care.
I have to admit, it's been fun to put school work away for a few days and hunker down while this junk passes. There has been a lot of game playing, book reading, necklace making, movie watching and snuggling.

We've been pretty much surviving on tea and toast - even for dinner. Am I the last person on earth to have jumped on the "Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day" bandwagon? It has changed me forever.

The view out our window has been looking more and more like a snow globe! So pretty. It'll probably be gone very soon, so I am trying to enjoy every second of it.

There is only so much house-bound-ness one person can take. So during those long afternoons when H & H were sleeping, I tried my hand at creating a spring wardrobe over at Polyvore. What do you think? I'm calling it Spring Fling. A girl can dream. :)

I'm so sorry you have all been sick....it's probably all our fault! Although I think we caught it at Heritage the week before. I guess it's just going around....

I hope Jon got to work ok today. Eric heard the highway was closed both ways in Nisqually. We had quite the interesting drive to Seaside - the snow was gorgeous, but the weather kept changing every 5 minutes - I kid you not. Oh, and I've lost my voice now... at least we didn't catch the stomach flu! Hope you're all on the mend now!

Kristi- don't blame yourselves! we could've picked up this bug anywhere!! and we've probably passed it on to a dozen people since.

I love the spring wardrobe you picked out. I'm so ready to be wearing those kinds of clothes right now. I'm sorry that you all have been so sick! You're not the last person to discover that Artisan bread book. I keep hearing about how great it is, but have yet to get myself a copy.
