One of the best things about having children is the excuse to extend an otherwise simple holiday into several days. : ) We were blessed this week with lots of these opportunities.
About a year ago we started a wonderful curriculum called Little Annie's Art Book of Etiquette and Good Manners. This is a gentle and enjoyable book and I'd highly recommend it for anyone wanting to work with their children on etiquette. About the time we started using this book, we promised our children that when we felt like they had mastered some essential table manners, we would go for lunch at Seattle's Space Needle restaurant. So, Saturday was our day...and the kids did great! And I just had to throw this in...a 6 inch tall red Gummie Bear, which we picked up at World Market. Awesome. Happy Valentine's Day!

What a lovely thing to do...the Space Needle. When H was telling me you were going I just assumed it was for Valentine's Day; I had no idea you were celebrating manners too! What a fun idea.
The Space Needle is great incentive! I'm still trying to get my husband to take me there. I must have been Henry's age the last time I ate there.
Love your post!
Happy belated Valentine's Day!
