Mother's Day

from my "baby"

I am blessed beyond measure to be the mommy of these two!

OK, so I'm only 3 days late with my Mother's Day post, but that's just the way I am. ;) We had a lovely Mother's Day with Jon's parents, who always take such good care of us. We even managed to snap a few photos that I wanted to be sure to get on the blog.
I recently read a line that C.S. Lewis wrote after losing his mother: "With my mother's death all settled happiness, all that was tranquil and reliable, disappeared from my life. There was to be much fun, many pleasures, many stabs of Joy; but no more of the old security. It was sea and islands now; the great continent had sunk like Atlantis..."
I hope you all had a lovely Mother's Day and got to hug your mom, either physically or virtually!

Hugs to you, as you're missing your Mom. I don't know what that feels like to be without mine, but that C.S. Lewis quote sounds like what I would imagine it to be. I'm sure Mother's day is full of mixed emotions for you?
That is a very sweet card that Henry made for you, and I love the photos.

I love the CS Lewis quote! We tried family photos in the same spot, but they all turned out kind of silly looking. Yours look great.
