The Swing
Robert Louis Stevenson
How do you like the to go up in a swing,
Up in the air so blue?
Oh, I do think it the pleasantest thing
Ever a child can do!
Up in the air and over the wall,
Till I can see so wide,
Rivers and trees and cattle and all
Over the countryside-
Till I look down on the garden green,
Down on the roof so brown-
Up in the air I go flying again,
Up in the air and down!

I've always loved that poem, and I've always loved to swing, even still. :) Cute pictures!
I used that poem in one of my scrapbooks and fell in love with it. Nice to see the rest of the poem. I only knew the first couple of lines.
We haven't read this one for a while. And now that my dd can finally swing herself, she loves to swing. Thanks for sharing it. Adorable photos.
This was the first poem that Roland memorized, according to his baby book. I've always loved it too.
Henry is growing up so fast!
Love the new header photo! Thoughts of Hawaii perhaps?
