After seeing this charming art project over at my friend, Dawn's blog and at Art Projects for Kids, we had to give it a try. First we read one of our silly favorites Where the Wild Things Are. Then the kids sat down and created their own Wild Thing. I really thought that Henry, at least, would have a bit of trouble drawing something as ambiguous as a "wild thing". Silly me. The was no shortage of imagination! And I think they turned out pretty cute. For complete directions just click here.

Very Cute! Another project on my list for next year when Eli is a little bigger. We love that book too, so it will add to the fun.
I can feel the energy of those monsters! Stay away from me-e-e-e-e! ~grandma.
I love those cute little wild things!
Those are adorable. I've thought about getting that book and copying Dawn, too. Love them.
