What's up Wednesday

Hiiiii!!! What's new? The biggest news around here, at the moment, is we are back in school! This is a different year for us because H & H are at different CC campuses.  This wasn't an easy decision, and honestly, we're still not adjusted. Sniff sniff.  Another fun development is Henry has started working on dual credit.  He's currently taking Western Cultural History.

Jon has been working SO hard on our kitchen!  He's closing in on building an enclosure for our vent hood, then we'll order our open shelving, then begin work on the pantry, which is the final step!  I am thrilled to have a working, functioning kitchen again after 4 years of working with a 2 square foot section of countertop, and all walls torn down to the studs. Yuck.  I'm on cloud nine, y'all, and can't wait to share more in the coming months.

We are doing the Whole30 at our house this month. We had some friends do it over the summer, and really loved revamping the way they eat.  I'm still learning, but it is basically a 30 day "factory reset" for your system.  As a result I've been eating a lot more fruit, like this juicy papaya. :P  We're only a few days in, but I've made it through the carb flu (ugh), so fingers crossed we make it the rest of the month.  I'm not exactly known for my healthy eating willpower, but I'm truly excited to give this my all.  The potential benefits are extensive, including reduced inflammation (something that could greatly benefit my tendinitis).

Even though it's still 100* outside, my girlie and I pulled out the fall boxes over the weekend.  It's always fun to see the pumpkins, crows, and leaves.

And I'll leave you with this picture of Chip.  Because he is adorable.  ;)

Have a great rest of your week!

Gosh, your kitchen sneak peek looks gorgeous!! I love that tile, the colors, your fixtures. It all looks so bright and airy and cozy. Great job. Can't wait to get a tour of the whole space. Good luck starting out a new year. I think this year has presented everyone with some unique challenges for sure. Thinking of you!
