Happy Monday! It's a fresh new week.
I'm thinking.... about spring cleaning. I've got a girlie who l-o-v-e-s to organize, so she and I have been working our way through closets, bookcases and cupboards. The garage sale/eBay/Craigslist pile is growing. I'm also think about what veggies/flowers to plant. I'm slowly figuring out what grows when in south Texas. For example, a summer favorite, Snapdragons, are actually winter blooms here. Who knew!
I'm looking forward.... to a little getaway we have coming up. We are surprising the kids, and Jon and I are literally like little kids ourselves, giggling into the night, making plans. :D
I'm cooking.... low carb, low sugar meals. I, uh, gained a bit of weight over the holidays, so I'm trying to be diligent and intentional about low carb food. I'm such a foodie that this is not easy, but I've teamed up with a few people to help me stay on track.
I'm buying....a new lipstick! Have you heard about LipSense? Zero weird chemicals, and the color choices are fantastic. And did I mention it stays on for six hours? Yesssss.
I'm thankful....for many of the little things. The gorgeous sunshine that greeted me when I woke up. The freedom to homeschool. Jon's job. A purring black kitten that sleeps on our bed at night. Enthusiastic children. Really good Texas coffee that I can't wait to drink in the morning.
I'm watching.... lately Havah and I have been enjoying the Pioneer Woman's cooking show. There is something so sweet about her. Also, Jon and I just started a documentary about D.B. Cooper, which I find fascinating.
I'm looking forward... to tennis tonight. We've started playing a few nights a week and it's been lots of fun. Once we get to the courts we set a timer for 30 minutes and try to play hard the entire time. It's nice now that kids are old enough (and good enough) to actually keep a game going.
I'm reading.... reading? {{Sigh}} Do school books count? Honestly, how do people make time to read for fun? I literally CANNOT keep my eyes open at night, and during the day I'm doing a million other things. #excuses That being said, I'm loving a new-to-me devotional book, "Streams in the Desert". It's from the 1920s and it has been a blessing to my heart and mind.
I'm listening to... we almost always have the French Cooking music playing on Pandora. It just makes me happy. :)
Wishing y'all all a happy week!
