Five Happy Things

We are finishing up our second week of school and starting to get back into our school-day routines.   However, since it's still extremely hot outside my kiddos are able to take a quick morning break and cool down in the pool. It's the little things in life, right? :)

Here are a few happy things that caught my eye this week. Since we are spending the bulk of our days in our school room, most of my pics were snapped in there.

Cheerful ball lights and geography review for Henry

A good daily reminder. Isn't this the truth!

Sweet wooden mushrooms that I picked up on our trip to Magnolia Silos. I'm still dreaming up ideas of how to use them in a fall mantle.  Thoughts?

You know you're in Texas when all the grocery stores are celebrating (and sampling) the harvest of the Hatch Chili.  Hatch Chili corn bread, Hatch Chili Salsa, Hatch Chili chicken salad, Hatch Chili brownies, Hatch Chili salmon burgers...just to name a few.

The yummiest sandwich, "The Bilbo Baggins," from The Hobbit Cafe.  Give me all the sprouts, please and thank you.  :)

What's making you happy?  Do share. I'd love to know!

Sounds like a good week! I love sprouts on sandwiches, too. I never think to buy them to have at home so I really should do that. Never heard of Hatch Chili so that's a fun local thing :) I always enjoy seeing what local people celebrate when we've lived different places.
