This year instead of filling our advent calendar with only sweet things to eat, I've been trying to plan some sweet things to do. The other day the kids opened the calendar and read, "Eat dinner by candlelight in the dining room." Judging by the way Havah began jumping up and down with excitement, you would have thought it said, "Go to Disneyland." I LOVE it!

Oh my goodness! That's in our advent calendar too! We haven't done it yet though. Last night it was a game night and driving around to see Christmas lights. We have also watched a few Christmas movies, had a p.j. day, baked cookies,etc. I like doing activities way better than getting the sweets.
Love the "things to do" calendar idea. We grew up with one but never filled ours with candy. I didn't know until this year that this is what you do with 'em...
