Maui - day 6

Today we went to Makena beach, which is my favorite so far. The water was so turquoise and the sand was so white - it felt like the caribbean. This is also the beach where there are supposed to be sea turtles as well as a pod of dolphins that swim through every morning. Unfortunately we saw neither. But that's ok. ;) The waves were big today, and Jon and Havalah body surfed for hours. Henry and I alternated between swimming and playing in the sand. I think this beach has just become my new happy place.














In the afternoon we drove to Lahaina to shop and have dinner. I LOVE Lahaina! It's an old fishing village turned lovely shopping village. We bought some Shave Ice and wandered around for an hour or two before dinner.
