staycation days 3, 4 and 5

So our staycation started slowing down on days 3, 4 & 5. Partly due to the awful weather that is Seattle these days, but also due to a yucky cold that made another appearance at our house.

Here is what we managed to sneak in our last few days:

The first thing we did was drive to Great Wolf Lodge so the kids could play Magi Quest. It's basically a scavenger hunt that involves wands and pretty darn good clue solving skills. It can take an entire day depending on how many quests the kids do. Plus there is a Starbucks, so Mommy's happy :)

The next day we took a picnic to the park and fed the ducks and geese and walked through the gardens. These gardens are two minutes from our house, but we've never taken the time to explore there before today. It was so lovely and I see many picnics there in our future.

The next day we hopped on the train and headed downtown. We went to Westlake Center, which has a pretty extensive food court. (Almost) everyone picked something different. Havalah and Jon had sushi, Henry a smoothie, and I had Indian. Then we wandered around a bit, which included meeting the Seattle live statue guy. Our kids love this guy.

Thanks for hanging around to hear about our staycation! We had a great time, and it was fun to see our city in a new way!
