Some snapshots of our staycation - day 2. This day was a stormy one around Seattle. Fortunately, that doesn't usually keep us from the beach. But it was nice that our other planned activities were indoors.
The kids (and the Scottie) love to search for little crabs. I think they could do this all day, but I haven't tested my theory. Yet. I'm waiting for a stack of magazines, beach chair and an 80 degree day. I'll let you know.
Next we went to rec swim at a fun indoor pool that we'd never tried before. I managed to snap a few pics before the life guard told me to put my camera away. Did you know that photos aren't allowed at public pools anymore? Whoops.

Looks like the best "staycation" ever. I've been wanting to visit Seattle for the last few years and just haven't made the trip. The beauty of the landscape amazes me. Thank you for your sweet comment.
Oh, please tell! Where is that fun indoor pool? You're giving me great ideas. :) I didn't know that cameras weren't allowed at public pools anymore. Weird.
This is such a fun idea!! Looks like you did so many wonderful outings...good for you getting to the beach in the rain! :)
We've stayed home with time off before but have always done house projects...not fun things like this. I LOVE this idea so much more!
You really should write a book on this, it's really detailed and is full of great ideas for families.
Thank you for sharing this with us! So glad you had a fantastic week.
SOOOOO fun! Where is that pool? I love the beach photos....I could spend all day at the beach too.
