sweet things

It seems like the kids have been serving up an extra bit of sweetness lately. I wanted to take a minute and enjoy these little glimpses into their hearts.Love note found on my pillow.
Pretending to have a meet and greet with Mickey Mouse and a Clone Trooper.

Too big? No!

Those curls! My favorite part of a rainy day.

Making birthday surprises for a certain someone who is about to turn 8. More to come on this later ;)
The perfect day at the beach with lots of logs to climb.

Finishing up her needlework project from this year. When we started this last summer, she couldn't even manage the needle without my help and now she is working on her own. {{So proud!!}}

This little project was inspired by one that my sister in law, Hilary made when she was six.

Enjoying homemade Whoopie Pies.

We woke up on Saturday morning to whispers in the kitchen. Next came the tiptoes down the hall, and bursting through the door, joyfully yelling "surprise!" bringing us breakfast in bed. I was served carrots and lemonade and Jon was served sliced apples and Diet Coke! (Next time I'll know to do my grocery shopping on Friday instead of on Saturday! ;)
Falling asleep on the heating pad, with a Lego ship (always) within reach.

These eyes. Love 'em.

While we were at Chuck E Cheese this week, and I had stepped away to refill my Diet Coke, the kids surprised me with this C.E.C sketch of the two of them.
Had any sweet moments this week?

So is Jon Mickey Mouse? :) Loved all of your "moments".

Haha! He'd be a good Mickey Mouse, but no, Havalah got a blue hat (with stars) and some white gloves and has been pretending to be Mickey. ;)

Those little, scrawled out notes just slay me, every time! And the cross stitch is super charming and cute. I hope my daughter likes being crafty as she gets a little older!
