One of the things that I love about my sweet husband is his awesome spontaneity. Thank God for that, or we'd never do anything out of our routine. A good example of this is jumping in the car and heading to Tillamook for the weekend. I didn't realize just how much we needed a mini break (to quote Bridget Jones).
Loved all the curvy roads with scenery that looked like this. The trees had so much moss, there were actually ferns growing out of it. Ahh, Oregon.
We went here twice during our weekend. Free cheese samples, anyone?
Look at all that Tillamook cheese! Varieties that I'd never heard of, like Habanero jack and garlic white cheddar. That one came home with us.
Oh yes, and the ice cream. Between the 4 of us we had banana split, chocolate chip mint, peanut butter pie and chocolate mudslide. Sinful.
A quick stop into the Portland Lego store, where he picked out Boba Fett. This kept him busy for hours. I love his imagination.

Wow-you took quite the journey for a weekend! But, oh how I love where you went. When I was pregnant with Eli we went to the Tillamook cheese factory and it was so fun! I loved that I was pregnant because I thought it gave me permission to eat lots of ice cream. Of course, now I'm paying the price!! We call those little weekends mini-vays. (mini vacations)
I love the Tillamook factory! I must have been Havah's age when I last visited, but I still remember how much I loved the ice cream. :) Sounds like a fun weekend!
