home

Whenever I don't blog for awhile, I find it hard to blog at all. In my head there is so much catching up to do, I don't know where to start, so I end up not writing anything. So instead of re-capping the last month I'm just going to start from today. I did want to mention, however, that we are finally in our new/old house. Even in the midst of boxes, paint fumes, hardwood floor dust, and pieces of ripped off wallpaper it feels good to be together under our own roof. And also, I found my earrings! The first night we were in our new house, I suddenly knew exactly where they were. I went directly to the right box, opened it and pulled them out. Weird. And awesome.

Some of the things we've been enjoying this week are rainbow wraps and Georgia O'Keefe inspired flowers. The wrap idea came from Healthy. Happy. Life. We mixed up some strawberry cream cheese, spread it over tortillas and made fruity rainbows. Red=apples, orange=mandarin oranges, yellow=fresh mangoes, banana and peaches, green=kiwi and blue/purple=blueberries. I really love this food blog and her great ideas for healthy eating. Her post on winter eating is one of my favorites, especially as Jon and I are always striving to reduce and hopefully someday, eliminate white flour and sugar from our diets. But I won't get into that today. ;)

This wonderful Georgia O'Keefe flower inspiration came from here.

Yippppeee! Your back!!! I was so excited to see your blog pop up today. Your pictures are amazing. I'm wondering, how do you get Henry to do such amazing art projects? Eli wouldn't be able to sit long enough to do a project like that. I would love to tackle more art (instead of just crafts) but I'm not sure how to do it...?

Welcome back!

It's so good to "see" you again! I've missed you! I'm so glad you found your earrings and are getting settled into your new home. Those flower paintings are so cute.

I know what you mean about finding it hard to get back to blogging after a break. But it does feel good once I actually do it!
And I'm glad you found your earring!
