Birthday weekend

Henry's 5! Such a big number.

He started his day with a donut breakfast in bed. When I came in his room he was completely dressed and under the covers squirming with the excitement of being 5!
We had a little party with some very good friends at the park. The boys built Legos, of course.

And the girls strung candy necklaces.

Instead of a traditional cake, Henry chose to have brownie pops. My sweet mother-in-law saw this idea at a fancy bakery and passed the idea onto me. We baked a double thick batch of brownies, popped in the stick, dipped them in chocolate and sprinkled candy Legos on top.

Someone embellished theirs a little bit : )

The next day we headed over to the pumpkin farm where we've taken the kids since they were babies. Henry participated in some pumpkin slinging!

We (kind of) got lost in the corn maze. Not that we minded! The theme of the maze was "follow the white rabbit" (from Alice in Wonderland).

What a bunch of cards.

Much to Jon's dismay, they may have sampled some of the corn from the maze.

Later we headed back to Grandma & Grandpa's house for a little family party. But first, the rope swing.

We made some apple cider with Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Shalimar and Hazel.

Time for chocolate birthday pie! Seriously, what could be better than chocolate birthday pie? Thanks, Grandma.

Back home and very tired. Happy birthday, Dude.

Fun pictures! 5 is a very special number! I don't know about that hair shot of mine.....it was windy that day, right?

Your hair looked beautiful, as always! But to answer your question, it was windy that day! : )
