"Thank you Jesus, for helping Daddy win!"

enjoying our favorite greasy spoon boneless chicken take out

...were the words Henry prayed last night when we were thanking God for Jon's job offer. You gotta love the way kids think. In some ways it probably does seem, to our 4 year old kid, like this whole job search has been like a competition of sorts - and he was so happy his Daddy won!

Yesterday we were blessed with the very good news of a job offer at a law firm in Olympia, Washington. The better part of yesterday was filled with jumping up and down, squeals of happiness and the kids and I just generally being even louder than usual. Seriously, be glad you weren't here. ;) There were also a lot of posters being made to hang all around the house. They said things like: "Oh Happy Day" and "Happy Tuesday" and "Congratulations Daddy". I think there was also some sprinkling of mini chocolate bars on daddy's pillow and a slightly too rich chocolate cream pie. As I've said on this blog before, we love any excuse for a party - and I'm happy to say that this definitely fell into that category!

So, for the last year we've been *telling* God: "Seattle. Seattle. Seattle." Yesterday God answered us and said, "Uh-uh. Olympia." For quite a while now we've been praying for some very specific things we were hoping for in a new job and God answered that prayer in abundance. We are thankful - to say the least.

So in about two and a half weeks time, Jon will start at a new firm in a new city and the rest of the stuff we will work on day by day. And I will definitely keep the updates coming.

Thanks to all of you who I know have been praying for Jon. You're awesome!

Congrats. Does that mean you'll be living here while he's there or are you going to pack up?

Wherever you end up living, I still say Yahoo! We're so happy you'll be closer now! And I love Henry's sentiment. We'll be praying for as smooth as transition as possible. We look forward to introducing you to the South Sound.
And don't we need a picture of the new family member on the blog? Belle or Bella?

Congratulations! An answer to prayer after faithfully trusting God to lead you. I'm hoping for a good transition - and hopefully the chance to see you a little more!
