We spent part of our 4th of July at a lovely family wedding in Puyallup, WA. (Congrats Joel and Christi!) When we got back to Jon's parents' home, it was close to 9 o'clock. Jon surprised the kids and I by suggesting a swim in the lake. The kids were thrilled. Daddy is so fun. :) So under a canopy of fireworks the 3 of them had a great night time swim. By the way - I only had my "point and shoot" camera with me, which takes terrible night shots, so the pictures aren't so good. It wasn't until my camera savvy brother in law arrived and set me up with the night setting that the pics got a lot better. Thanks Milton!
Notice that Henry is covering his ears (the fireworks were so loud and right above our heads). A little hard to swim that way however!

The old guy hung out with my mother in law and me. Shaking in his boots. Poor thing.
Apparently there were water spiders crawling everywhere. The kids didn't seem to mind one single bit. Funny how being up waaaay past their bedtime makes them so fearless! ;)

We finally ended our swimming fun around 10:30. Last jump of the night!

AGGHHHHH The floating head....!!!! Those kids are brave. They obviously haven't watched any scary water movies because they would never go in the water after dark!
What a fun Dad your kids have! I love swimming at night, add in the fireworks, and it's even better.
