One of my goals, in this new year, is to get to know my SLR camera (a lovely Christmas present from Jon). So, this week I'm challenging myself to take pictures of H & H "at play". Through this, I'm hoping to try one or two new camera techniques. (If anyone *out there* has any photography pointers...please send them my way!)

I feel silly...but what is an SLR camera? Obviously I don't know how to use one!

I love seeing your kids on your blog!
You are going to love your camera! I got mine (Canon XSi) last May. I had never used an SLR of any kind before and had no idea how to really use the manual settings. After skimming a dozen photography books from the library, a photographer friend recommended "Understanding Exposure" by Bryan Peterson. For some reason that book had light bulbs going off in my brain, and I "got it"! Anyway, I would highly recommend that and any of his other books, too.
On another note, are you on Facebook? I've only been on it for a few weeks, but I'm having so much fun connecting with people. I think you would love it!
