So, it's been over a year since our trip to Italy in October/November 2019. Now so much time as has passed blogging about it feels totally overwhelming, haha. Havalah graciously volunteered to help me in this task, so here's part one of our trip, our two days in Venice....
A long plane ride to start the trip! We spent most of it attempting to sleep, lol.
I'm not actually sure if he slept like this, or...
Tempting window displays right off the bat!
The view from Havah and Henry's bedroom window. Such beautiful architecture right next door!
Exploring a 16th century open market hall.
A pic from Rialto Bridge! You wouldn't believe how much we had to squeeze to get this spot...
A good pizza spot we discovered near San Marco Square.
By this point we were all a little giddy from lack of sleep...
The view from the windows of the Bridge of Sighs. This was the last glimpse of Venice prisoners would catch before being taken to their cells.
No getting out from behind these bars!
We didn't ride a gondola this time, but we made sure to get plenty of pictures of them!
An underwater crypt. Luckily, the tide was out, so we were able to view it. Chilling!
Views from the top of the Campanile. It was beautiful, so long as our eardrums weren't being destroyed by the bells, lol!
A delicious dinner, then on to Day 2!
Books are one of our fave things to bring back from vacations.
Exploring Venice on day 2.
We celebrated my dad's birthday in Venice! Italian pizza, yes, please!
Followed by hot chocolate and the dueling orchestras on San Marco squareNothing like watching TV in another language, haha!
The boys being goofy on the train ride to Florence.
