After recommendation from a friend, several months ago we started having Thursday tea and poetry. Havah decorates the table, we bake something yummy, the kids (and I) choose our poems, and we spend 30-45 minutes reading aloud and drinking tea.
It's been great practice for oral presentation and finding the voice and rhythm of the poetry; something we haven't necessarily done before. It's safe to say that it's become one of the highlights of our week - Havah is even planning a Disney themed tea. If you have kids, I highly recommend this ritual - it's become a really special time at our house!

What a sweet tradition! I love that everyone has their role. Your scones look amazing :)
We have been bad about tea lately. One week we were sick. The next week Eli had standardized testing. Last week we visited a co op. I'm hoping to do it tomorrow! :) Your post was a good reminder.
