Happy and full

Ahh, summer!  I just can't get enough of you.

My sister, Mary Beth, came to town!
She's a big fan of Fixer Upper on HGTV, so we had to check out their store. Now I see why everyone loves it!
Magnolia Market is in Waco Texas, and the owners are in the process of turning these empty silos into their new larger store.
This is where we often find Mr. Henry in the mornings when we wake up.
One of the things I love about having my sister here is she is always up for trying new things.   We pretty  much go go go! The kids and I took her to Sprinkles Cupcakes in Houston. I haven't had a Sprinkles Cupcake since Havah's eighth birthday, in LA. They are as good as ever!
We also went to the Texas Junk Co, where one could literally dig for hours for all kinds of random "junk." Old toothbrushes, anyone? I was ecstatic to find a vintage retractable map of Texas from the 1950s.
Most days you can find us here. :)

We joke that this ball is Henry's security blanket. He carries it EVERYWHERE around the house -- wherever he is, so is the ball.  He liked this shot, because the light was coming through the window and lighting it up.
The Austin bat bridge. Hundreds of thousands of bats come out each night. during the summer. As you can see, so do thousands of people ;)
We finally made it back to Barton Springs! My oh my was it cold! No salamander sightings, however.

Texas is so friendly :)

He's got quite a collection of woodworking books, thanks to Grandpa.  This one is from the late 1800s.

The kids attended a pottery camp recently. They loved learning to throw a pot on the wheel.
Sweet mama and her littles.
I got to have a lunch out while the kids were crafting. Yum.
Our new/old favorite pastime.
Have you had ice dream from Chick-fil-a? You MUST!
Evening swims are more fun, somehow.

Sillies
The light was just right.

These toadlets are the cutest!!

Summer time fills me right up -- I can't find a thing to complain about.  ;-)

What a perfect summer post!! I'm glad your sister came into town and you guys got to do so many fun things! I'd love to visit Chip and JoAnna's store one day. Love all your yummy treats and that pottery camp sounds like a blast. Along with that solo lunch date. Glad you were able to pack in tons of fun this summer!!
