Today is for birthdays

Today we headed to Galveston for a bit of {early} birthday celebrating for our wonderful Henry. We like to do something memorable when our kids turn ten, and jet skiing in the gulf sounded pretty darn special. Here's a peek at our day.
{ham and cheese Kolaches from Bucee's}
{First sight of the gulf - I always get so excited!}
{Pleasure Pier}
{It started off with some innocent wading...but as usual was soon full-on body surfing}

{My favorite beach partner - he hasn't mastered the photo snapping *and* smiling - ha!}
{The boys are off on Thursday jet ski}

{Havah and Daddy}
They were all so excited to get to see several pods of dolphins!
{Henry and Daddy}

{this guy kept me company)

{Then off to La Kings for ice cream and eye candy}
{And a VERY odd street performer}
{Ahhh...my birthday boy! Mwahhh!}

Such a special day!

I'm sure Henry was in heaven with all the fun you packed into this trip!! I was drooling at the candy & ice cream shot. Is the water still pretty warm?? I'm hoping to make it down to the Mississippi coast this Fall. Hope you have a fun birthday week at your house.

Happy Birthday Henry! I can't believe you are ten. I still remember the day you were born...anxiously awaiting to hear about you! Looks like you had an amazing day of celebrating.

And Kristen, I love that picture of you and Jon!
