this and that - catching up

Oh, my goodness, it's been so long since I've posted.  I honestly don't know where the days go!  I hate to do a mass catch up like this, but I like to get these things document on ye-ole-blog, for memories sake :)  Here's a snippet of the past month or two.

We participated in our first ever Lemonade Day with our neighbor friends.  The kids sold tropical and raspberry lemonade, as well as cookies and brownies.  We parked ourselves right next to the playground on an 85+ degree day and sold and sold.  They raised a good amount of money and gave most of the proceeds to World Vision.

These two.  A sweet moment of sibling love.
On pizza night a few weeks ago I finally tried a recipe that I've been tossing around for awhile.  Pressed garlic, mozzarella cheese and HONEY. Ah-mazing.  Thank you, Pinterest!

Cooling off on a hot Sunday afternoon.
Everyone wanted something different. Per usual.

Little hand.

The best day EVER at homeschool PE.

He calls these his "wrap around hugs".

Mother's Day breakfast in bed.  The best!
Also on Mother's Day, my family took me to see Mary Poppins at the theater.  My favorite movie ever. I'd never see it on the big screen before.  :)
Yeah, this has been happening.

Hello bandwagon, we're the Peirce family.
We always seem to find ourselves staying at the pool right up until closing time. Always the last to leave.  That's us.  The lifeguards always call "Adult Swim" for the last few minutes, which Jon FULLY enjoys.
Pre Adult Swim, obviously.

My people.
This has also been happening.  Jon's dream come true.
The kids had their first tennis matches last week.  I was beyond proud!

We had a garage sale!  It was slim pickins' considering we sold most our extra stuff before our move to Texas, but the kids love to organize, price, and run a good sale, so, why not?

We had such a nice visit from Papa and Grandma Judy in April - so special to see them both.

Holly's favorite resting spot.
One day we were at the pond looking for tadpoles one day and found this little duckling that had been abandoned by his Mommy.  We were going to leave it, but the snapping turtles were trying to drag him under.  What!!???  I had no idea that turtles ate ducklings. It turns out they will try and eat anything they can pull under water.  Long story short, we tracked down a wild life rescue and took this little one, dubbed Yellow, aka Spring, in.  Whew.
We are still visiting the animal shelter once a week and spending some time volunteering, giving the animals love and scratches behind the ears (also known as a kitty fix).
Havalah has been making signs for the shelter to hang.  So cute.
This little one is always on the hunt for my smoothies.  He continues to love them as long as I don't tell him what's inside.  #mommysecret
And this, my friend, is what we do to pass the time while in a long line at Costco.  You're welcome.

Have a good weekend, everyone!
