Christmas Eve and Christmas Day 2012

This Christmas we were all by ourselves - with Grandma and Grandpa Peirce in Alaska with the Pedersen's, Hilary, Milton and Mairen in Chicago visiting with their other Grandparents, and Papa and Grandma Judy with other family.  Instead we focused on bringing Christmas to our elderly next door neighbor, who also found himself alone this year.

Here's a glimpse:

Henry, doing his best Elf on the Shelf impersonation (see Mr. Elf sitting on top of one of the Nutcrackers).

Last minute sewing projects.  This is going to be a rice hand warmer for Papa.

Christmas Eve dinner is always a casual affair, with croissant sandwiches, cheese ball and crackers, hummus and pita chips and of course lots of sugar cookies. I just noticed that not a single vegetable is in that line up!  Ha! Oh wait, there was lettuce and tomato on the sandwiches - does that count? ;)

Star Mother's Youngest Child and Jon in his Grandfather's red vest.  Love.

The stocking are already hung...

And the children are starting to nestle...

And the kitty cat too...

Christmas Eve quiet

Can you feel the Christmas magic?

Here they come!  It's 7:00 AM!

What did Santa bring?

Stop Henry!  Let's read his letter first.

Whoa! It's the Hobbit House!

And also the Hobbit Barrel Roll!

A Havalah mirror!

And Santa brought me....

Caroline!

Merry Christmas!  Can we open more now!?

A Santa tradition - blue candy canes!

Wow!  The Lego Zam Wessel Speeder! This is retired!

A new Bible

Don't we look alike, Mommy?

You're prettier, Havalah!

The much sought after Lobot Mini fig

His favorite place.  He truly is a Christmas Cat.

Snuggles with Daddy while watching Henry play the Kinect Disneyland Game.  The best way to end a lovely Christmas Day.
Merry Christmas, All!
