At the beach

We made it to the beach a few days ago. It's so pretty!! It definitely feels more like the Caribbean beach than the Hawaiian beaches that we are more familiar with. However it has the warm wind that the Mexico beaches have. Another difference is how q u i e t it is here. We are halfway between Freeport and Galveston in a residential area. Except for our condo, there is nothing but a house here or there waaaay in the distance. Thus, there is no one swimming, something that made us a bit nervous at first. We are so used to the packed beaches of Maui or Kona, so this definitely took some getting used to.
