Hooray! Hooray! My girl is 10!
To my darling child, joy of my heart, you amaze me everyday with your beautiful spirit. Your deep blue eyes and mischievous grin bring a sparkle to my life every day. I'm thanking God that He blessed your Daddy and me with a daughter that means more than we can say.
Thank you for being such a joy to the people around you. Everyone is drawn to you and your gentleness. You are slow to bring judgement and are quick to help when you see someone in need. You care for the souls of others, always wondering if they are hurting and if they know Jesus. You are quick to to pray, always thanking God for your family and for your blessings. I love these things about you!
You like to have fun! You're never one to turn away an opportunity to twirl or jump or run. You love to play games and race and skip and ride your bike. You like to play tricks and practical jokes. You always hold your head high, a true ballerina.
Thank you for bringing out the fun in me and always keeping me on my toes. Thank you for bouncing out of bed with a smile on your face and a "good morning, Mommy" ready on your lips. Thank you for laughing so easily at your silly Daddy and brother. They love to try to impress you and make you giggle, and you always do. (More things I love about you!)
You, sweet girl, are such a blessing! You bring your Daddy and me immeasurable joy. Since I had such a special relationship with my own Mama, the bond you and I share is all the more precious. What a gift you have always been to me, from your very first breath.
