I just recently aquired this photo of my cutie pie Mom, taken when she was just nine years old. I love everything about it, from the curls in her hair to all the freckles on her face to the flower behind her ear. I wonder where she was in this photo, and I wish I could ask her. Was she in her yard? Coming home from church? Being the SoCal girl that she was I love to imagine the warm sun on her cheeks bringing out even more freckles. Darling!
They say you never quite get over losing your Mama and even 18 years later, I still miss her every day. Happy birthday to you, Anna Ruth aka Mom.

Thank you! I was just thrilled to find this photo! I see Anna and Henry, a bit, too. It's also an expression that Havah often makes. It's such a sweet photo. Love.
