I always like to start the school year talking with our children about how God made each of one of them in his own image. I think it's good to remind them how unique, wonderful and special they are. Along with that I interview each and have them draw a self portrait...it's fun to see how their answers and drawings change from year to year.
What makes you happy?
A new Lego set. When we find a new pet in the backyard - like a grasshopper.
What makes you sad?
When someone makes me feel bad.
What makes you laugh?
When Daddy makes up silly songs. (Check it)
Why are you special?
Because I'm the only Henry.
What's your favorite food?
Cheese and refried beans.
What's your favorite book?
Books about pirates.
What do you do to make people laugh?
Make silly faces. Cross my eyes.
What makes you surprised?
When a gorilla comes out of the chimney. (Obviously!)
What are gonna be when you grow up?
A Lego designer.
If you could change your name, what would it be?
Gunner
What do you love about Daddy?
That he's funny.
What do you love about Mommy?
That she makes me lunch and birthday cakes.
What do you love about Havalah?
I love that she's so good at Spy Mouse.

I wish I could be a pirate. I wish I could fly. I wish I could have a million wishes.
