How fun! My older son (17) just got his tonsils out and he is watching The Wonder Years marathon...I was just thinking how sad it is that they have never been to a drive in movie! (BTW...the black and white tiles in my laundry room are just 12x12 black and white tiles with gray grout.)
Hi Kristen! I answered your sea fan question over on my blog-but I'm leaving it here too jsut in case. I alsways see sea fans at antique fairs. There are usually a few beachy themed set-ups that have them. If you don't have a local one, then ebay has a few for sale. Here is the link: http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=sea+fan&_sacat=See-All-Categories BTW, is your header pic from Bainbridge? Looks like a little shop I went to when I visited a few years ago. Love it there!
:) Hey Again Friend! Thanks so much for your sweet comment! We went to Kalaloch on the Olympic Penn...it was INCREDIBLE!
I would recommend it very highly for kids like H and H's age. There are 4 beaches right there and Beach 4 was our fav with the stunning forest that goes literally right to the ocean and the wonderful tide pools (when the tide is low).
Our boys did brave the ocean and loves hanging out at the water's edge ALL day (although we would bring them back to the campfire on the beach often to warm up!)
We got our camp site in February and thought we were "ahead of the rush" but we were only able to get an interior site. Although beautiful right in the forest and very private, it was really dark, damp and cold (mush like our fall, winter, spring and summer thus far).
As we walked through the camp sites we wrote down the numbers of the sites that are literally right above the ocean and FULL of daylight for next year's adventure. I believe January is when they open up reservation's at Kalaoch.
It was so magical that we've decided we MUST make it a summer tradition to come here. We stayed for 5 days and could have been there even longer if not for C's work. The other nice thing is that it's not far from the Hoh rain forest with beautiful, moss covered tree hikes and the gorgeous Hoh river.
Kristen, Realized I don't have a current email address for you either! No, we don't use the nail caps anymore. They did work, but fell off often and were expensive. We ended up caving and getting both cats declawed toward the end of the first year we had them. Just couldn't keep up with all their scratching and destroying furniture. We had to have two pieces of furniture recovered. I know many people feel it is inhumane to declaw, but our cats are indoor cats anyway, so I'm not worried about their safety, and they seem to heal from declawing just fine. That's my long answer to your question! Hope it is helpful. :-) Looking forward to more posts from you soon! Hope you've had a wonderful summer. :-)

HOW FUN IS THIS?! :)
What a dream for kids to see an awesome movie on a drive through screen!
This is something they'll never forget! I'll never forget seeing Super Man when I was little in a drive through!
SO glad you were able to partake in this! :)
