a day in the life (school year edition)

As we wrap up the 2010-2011 school year, I thought it would be fun to do a "day in the life" type of post. Granted, this doesn't show what we are doing every second of the day but I tried to grab my camera or at least my phone the hour every hour. It was a fun challenge!

7:00 a.m. - Jon has left to catch his bus...if I'm a good girl and don't go back to bed (ahem) then you'll find me here making coffee.

8:00 a.m. - Green smoothies are our new thing. The kids and I will either eat one for breakfast or afternoon snack, and you know what? You can't even taste that spinach (just ask Henry). He still refuses to believe there is spinach in there.

9:00 a.m. - we've been at school for half an hour now. Havalah is busy doing her language arts assignment.

10:00 a.m. - Henry is reading aloud to me (and Holly).

11:00 a.m. - we are half way through history for the day. Holly has decided to listen today too.

12:00 p.m. - this is my hour of quiet time - and I can usually be found here.

1:00 p.m. - math time for Havalah

2:00 p.m. - Havalah is still doing her math assignment and now Henry has started his as well.

3:00 p.m. - off to run errands. (I promise that I was at a stop when I took this pic!)

4:00 p.m. - at Costco. Do everyone's kids love to read the books at Costco?

5:00 p.m. - it's sunny, which means we will almost always take a bike ride!

6:00 p.m. - waiting outside of Havalah's ballet studio. Can you spot her?

7:00 p.m. - dinner time
And although the day doesn't end at 7:00, here is where I forgot to keep taking pictures. Oh well. Once we find our groove for summer, I'll do a summertime edition too!

Happy Weekend!

Fun to see your day! I can't believe you don't eat until 7!! Is that because of Jon's schedule? What a long day for him. Kye actually goes to bed at 7 so my quiet time starts then, ha ha! AND is Henry doing the Horizon 1 books....and is already that far into them? Wow.....! Great job mom!

Ha! Yes! Late, huh? I remember back in the day when he'd work from 6:30 or 7 to 3 and we'd eat dinner at 3:30 so he could head downtown to law school. One of these days we'll eat at a nice, normal 6:00. :)
