spring poems by Havalah

As a part of our Language Arts program, (which is so, so, so great - I can't say enough good things about it), Havalah has just finished writing several different types of poems.

I think they are quite sweet.
Cinquain
Scottie
scruffy, happy
bouncy, playful, loving
watches over her family
Bella

Free Verse
I cannot wait for Easter, I cannot wait for spring.
I love to see the robins, and the blue bells ding-a-ling.
I like to see the flowers, and the fairies mushroom rings.
Oh I cannot wait for Easter
I cannot wait for spring!

There once was a beautiful day.
We all went out to play
Then the black clouds came
They were all the same
And we said, "rain go away!"

A beautiful rose
symbolizes spring . . . lovely
perfect shade of pink
