Today Jon turns 39! I love this sweet guy more than anything. So, just for fun, the kids and I put together a list of 39 things that we know about him. I love you forever, Sweet!
- he loves Haagan Daaz coffee ice cream
- he loves to read aloud to H & H
- he puts up with me painting every single surface in our home - and never complains about the color
- he loves black beans
- every morning he wakes me up with a kiss
- he relishes simple things like Kona coffee with half and half
- he calls me on his 40 minute commute home every day
- he loves his steak "HOT". Not medium, not well done, HOT. :)
- he can speak German
- he does not wear pleated pants
- he does an awesome impersonation of Al Gore
- and Ricky Gervais
- and Bill Clinton
- he cooks the best omelets and pancakes
- he can explain the most complicated things, to anyone, no matter their age
- he loves to plan our vacations...right down to the tiniest detail - like where we will buy gas
- he is really, really good listener
- he's loves long road trips
- he loves watches
- he loves John Denver, Sting, Michael W. Smith, Nicole Nordeman and Boston
- he always drives the speed limit
- but he loves to slide around on icy roads
- he prefers to watch movies on blu-ray
- he loves to swim in the ocean
- he shares his birthday with his little sis, Hilary
- he drove a 1971 Land Rover all through high school
- he often makes me laugh really, really hard, during church
- his favorite food is Mexican
- he loves a good roller coaster
- he can carve an awesome jack o lantern
- he loathes canned spinach
- and dislikes Miracle Whip
- and he won't eat toasted marshmallows that are black
- but otherwise is the least picky person I know
- a few of his favorite movies are Star Wars, Notting Hill and Lord of the Rings
- as it turns out, he is really good at catching mice at 2:30 in the morning. (in our bedroom!)
- he drinks a cup of coffee at 9:00 and 3:00
- he will call me to come see a pretty sunset
- he loves to hold my hand
