happy

For the past 3 days, Jon was gone at a conference for trial lawyers. We missed him a lot. I'm kind of a pansy that way - I get a bit whiny when I don't get to see my Mr. When he got home on Saturday night we decided to do a whole lotta nothing on Sunday to make up for lost time. Fortunately, it was beautiful around here. Here are a few happy things from our weekend.

Hearts. Lots of heart seemed to be turning up. I love finding hearts in nature, don't you?

Our city just opened up a new Nature Center and we took a mini class on Owls. Apparently, though, the most interesting thing of all was examining an owl pellet under a microscope. That may or may not be too much information for some, so I'll just leave it at that.
But the playground at the nature center might have been the most fun. What do you think?

At tennis the other day some other moms were talking about getting their kids outside to snap some Christmas card worthy photos, so I decided to follow suit.

I may have promised a bike ride to the candy store if they cooperated. I'm just saying.

Then the kids grabbed the camera. And yes, I did forget to comb my hair. And yes. That IS sunshine coming out my nose. Oh well.

We found a new beach!

And the kids did what they do best.

Dug for crabs. Just can't get enough of this activity.

I love these two guys.

And I love that right before I took this photo Henry had just picked up a bug and put it in his pocket. "For later", he said. For some reason, that made me really happy.

We finished up the weekend by playing the longest game of War yet. Isn't he a happy little player?

Until I won his joker.

This is happy me.

Reading this made me happy, too! I saw a happy twinkle in your eye! Jon had bugs in his pockets, too. I always found them in the dryer filter fuzz!! loven.

If I start searching for hearts in nature, will I gain the ability to shoot sunshine out my nose? That would ROCK!!! :)

Your kiddos are so cute. And I'll be honest, I do want to find a heart-shaped rock, now!

I'm so glad you checked out the nature center. The write-up in our paper sure made it sound super. I'll have to get Hazel up there before the cold days settle in. And you found a new beach - by the golf course? Love the bug in the pocket. Looking forward to seeing you later this week!

C was gone last weekend, this week and this weekend so I can totally relate to the missing part! I'm thankful though that we have men so wonderful that we don't want to be without them! :)

What amazing rocks at that beach!

War is very popular around here.

What a pretty picture of your smiling eyes!

And, how appropriate, the word verification today is "blesses." :)
