I have always had a very sweet relationship with my Dad. I was never one of those kids to pull away from their parents - even during the teenage years. I genuinely loved to be with both of them.
Since our move back to Seattle, we have been missing my Dad and Judy very much. When we lived nearby we'd see my Dad most every day, even if it was just stopping by their house for an Oreo cookie.
Last weekend we headed over the mountains to hang with them for a few days. My Dad took the kids on the hike that he does every single day of the year. They were in hiking heaven.

Can you see them way up there?
Can you see them waaay up there? I stayed down below, because there is a little somethin' called snakes up there. I don't care if they're harmless. A snake's a snake in my book.
Later that night, my Dad got out all his magic tricks, which was a huge part of my childhood birthday parties.

I love that hike! I've never seen a snake up there...thank goodness. We're in Wenatchee this weekend. It looks like you had a great time.
Love the pie comment. ;)
