be still

We are slowly wrapping up Havalah's school year. We've finished world history, reading, poetry and math, with only spelling and language arts to complete. Havalah will continue through the summer with some handiwork (an embroidery project) that she's recently started. So, with our school day becoming increasingly less busy, I found a few minutes this morning to just sit. And read. Both children were happily occupied with their room time, and it was so nice to be still and enjoy the early morning light. I wish everyone *out there* a renewing moment like this one. :)

It sounds like bliss! Just checking the age of your son, it seems I have a way to go before he will willingly enjoy some "room time."

Wishing you continued mornings of peace.

They don't always *willingly* go to room time - I've been known to, here or there, "help" Henry along with a baby gate in his doorway. :)

Oh I envy your morning! I could barely find a moment to read my Bible this morning due to little voices chattering in my ear. We don't usually do room time in the summer, but maybe it would be good to reinstate it!

That photo looks so peaceful. Those little moments of stillness are so precious.

How nice. I've been enjoying a bit of time to myself, as well. Not sitting, unfortunately, but still to myself. :)

I'm enjoying dinner for one and reading time myself tonight. So quiet here...
