...and Havalah made one of these. Ever had an Applesauce cake before? Havalah choose this recipe from one of her books and it was SO DELICIOUS! Normally, I'm not a spice, raisin cake person, but after eating this, I think I've become one! ;)Applesauce Cake
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
cream together - then add
1 1/4 flour
1/2 t baking soda
1/2 t salt
1 t cinnamon
1/2 t allspice
1 cup applesauce
2/3 raisins
pour it into a 9 inch, greased pan and bake at 375 for 35-40 minutes
For the frosting
2 T butter
2 cup powdered sugar
1 T vanilla
3 T milk
pour the frosting over the cake while it is warm - it soaks right in!
