I recently picked up an old children's encyclopedia from 1968 which has the most lovely illustrations. One of the reasons I'm so drawn to vintage children's books is because of all the vibrant colors.
This page, especially, caught my eye and I'm thinking of framing it for our home school room. How great are these words? Love 'em.

Those illustrations are so sweet, and I love that definition of art...so true!
I just discovered your blog through Magic Onion. I love books from the late 60's and 70's. I recently found a reader entitled Happiness Hill with very similar illustrations, stories and poems.
