Some fun in Seattle

Jon had a class in Seattle last week, so we seized the opportunity to do some favorite things!
The kids and I met Jon's sister, Shalimar and her daughter, Hazel, at the Seattle Center for a leisurely day of exploring.

some new insect friends...

Henry had just a little too much fun with this exhibit - and picked up a few new faces to add to his repertoire

Henry and Hazel spent quite a while at the water table, where I'm told he might have filled Hazel's shoes with water. Oops!

Jon found an amazing deal online to go up into the Space Needle which included 6 tickets, a seasons pass for one person and two free desserts/or drinks for around 30 bucks! The regular price for a family of 4 to go to the top of the Needle is around $48! Nice, huh?? The kids had fun spotting Jon's law school, the hospital where they were born, the hospital where Grandpa worked and maybe most importantly, our Suburban. :)

oh yeah - and McDonalds

Thanks to a generous Grandpa & Grandma Jon and I got to go out for Valentine's Day! Yay! We went to one of our favorite places, Elliot's...

where we shared some delicious crab.

The next day, Grandma planned a wonderful birthday party for 2 year old Hazel and 65 year old Grandpa. They share a birthday!

Looks like you have a fun filled weekend! I'm always so sad when I know you've been to town and I don't get to see you. :(

Glad you had such fun at the Space Needle. I love the Richard Scarry pail - we put all Hazel's new plastic food items in it. She found a teeny tiny picture of a fireman from her book.

That all looks like so much fun. I love eating at Elliot's. I haven't been to the top of the space needle since I was very young. That was a great deal you got on the tickets!

Wow! I wish I could have fit in your purse for the day. Looks like you had a great time. I'm itching to go to Seattle for some fun like that.
