playtime

As I was tucking Havah into bed tonight I noticed one of her playtime scenes on the floor of her room (see photo above). For as long as she has been old enough to play independently, she has loved setting her toys into little circles or groups, like they are acting out some kind of a story from her imagination or a book she's read. Often I step right over the toys without much thought, but tonight it struck me that she won't do this forever. So, I stopped, got down on my knees and looked closely at this sweet little group of toys. They are evidence of her wonderful, precious, God given imagination. I don't want to forget moments like this one.

That is a sweet little scene...it makes me wonder what the story is about. I like the idea of photographing it. I should do the same thing with my kids and their playthings before it's too late.

Wise mother...Jesus said, let the children come to me for such is the kingdom of Heaven! They haven't yet plugged into the complications of this world and they try outt their ideas of truth in play. If we could just implement all that God teaches us, into our work, I wonder if God would take the same pleasure as you when you stopped to see what Havah had done? ~N

So cute! Is Henry the kind of brother that comes along and smashes? Eli builds or sets up his play and then loves to watch it all crash or come tumbling down.

I had no idea that Hazel might be doing the same thing for several more years. I'm sure Havalah will enjoy seeing pictures like this when she's older.
