appleland

For part of our fall unit study, Henry and I have been talking about apples and how they grow. (as a side note Henry usually carries a few seeds with him and if he sees an area that he thinks would benefit from an apple tree, he just plants a seed right then and there. So, you're welcome little plot of earth right outside Old Navy in Wenatchee.) Anyway, we were so excited when one of Jon's partners at work invited us over to his ranch to pick some Red Delicious apples.
See if you can click on this photo to make it bigger...have you ever seen these little sprouts on apples before?
No, this wasn't staged. they actually did help each other out. I guess all my lectures on cooperation are paying off. Right. :)
Where Jon goes, Henry goes.

How wonderful! I can't wait to pick your brain this Friday on the stuff you do with Henry and Havalah! I'm so excited to see you. BTW, are we walking or just playing with the kids? Or is walking even an option for you with the kids being so grown up now?

These apple picking pictures look like something out of a magazine! I have a bunch of apple pictures I need to post as well...it's what you do when you live in Wenatchee...right?
