it's not political, it's just sweet

As with every kid who is old enough to read and somewhat pay attention to all that's going on in our country Havah is no exception. During our history lesson in school this morning, President Bush came up in our conversation and she asked why so many people dislike him. While I won't go into the loooonnnng conversation we had (if you know Havalah, you know what I'm talking about) she eventually concluded (for a portion of her writing assignment today) she'd like to write him a letter letting him know that she "likes him". And so I ask you: what could be more affirming then then being liked by a 6 year old? :) Hopefully this letter will actually reach him and maybe even brighten his day.

Tell Havalah that I agree with her! No matter what mistakes may have happened in our country our President did not act on them alone-as the House vote today shows-this country is not ruled by one single man, but by many elected officials.

It'll make her day knowing that Mrs. Miller agrees! :)

That's so sweet! Don't tell her what I put on my blog today. ;) Despite what I think of how he's doing his job...I think he's a good man and it's a wonderful thing to affirm the people who are serving our country. I'll bet she will get a letter back...Grace wrote a letter to the president and it took several months, but she did get a nice letter and photo from him.

So sweet!

So nice to keep up in your lives through your blog - and I too wish our families paths could cross more frequently!

That's so sweet of her to want to send her encouraging words. I hope she gets an answer!
