well, summer is officially here and Havah is in her element! The pool opened last week and we've been there every single day. (for those of you nice people that read our blog, I apologize in advance for the next 3 months of posts, which probably mostly will be swimming pictures ;)
Havah took her first swimming lessons (a mommy/daddy & me class) when she was 9 months old and has been going strong ever since. Jon and I are always joking that she's part fish (to which she then says, "actually, part mermaid, mommy."). We are so glad that the kids like to swim because it makes these long, hot summer Wenatchee days so much fun!

getting used to the water... Henry is going to start his swimming lessons a little later in the summer.
Havalah has two big swimming accomplishments that she's very proud of: 1) being able to dive to the bottom of the 12 foot part of the pool to retrieve rings and, 2) (this one just occurred today in swimming lessons) she was able to cross the pool under water without coming up for air. (she's pretty pleased about that one - as you can see by her smile :)

Cute pictures! I recognize that pool...that's where my son took swimming lessons ;)
so fun! i remember when you first started swimming lessons with havah-and now look at her go!
