Havalah's picture pie

I recently checked out a few books from the library by Ed Emberley (He's the guy who makes really cutesy pictures using his thumb prints). We loved looking at his drawing books and so decided to check out his website. He has so many ideas for children and lots of free downloads.

After staring at his "Picture Pies" for quite a while I realized that this would be a great activity to go along with the fractions that we are doing in math. We started with whole (paper) "pies" and then cut them into fractions and made a picture. Who knew that learning fractions could be so much fun?
